AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON SELLING TIMBER MUST NOTIFY ADJACENT LANDOWNERS OF THE TIMBER SALE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. A person selling timber shall notify by certified mail each record owner of property contiguous to the tract of timber being harvested.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
